Do you know a child who is late to start talking? As a children’s speech therapist, Karen always knew that she wanted to help children to start speaking and quite literally find their voice. She did this for many years within the NHS before she realised that something was missing. She struggled to find the time to connect with the parents who were often at the heart of their children’s journeys. She could also only help very small numbers of children at a time. Karen’s passion to create something much bigger began in 2019 with the publication of her first book, Autism & Childhood Apraxia of Speech: from Preverbal to Sentences.
Karen's journey
The title of this book became the focus of Karen’s work as she began creating her own business. What started with a book soon became a web of content, products and services, including documentaries, workshops, blogs, guest appearances on radio and TV, public speaking and a growing presence in both the offline and online worlds. Through the continuous use of content, Karen’s business has grown both in size and in geographical reach. She now has customers throughout the world and a formula for creating space to help thousands more children and families through her work.
