I’m Carolyn Berman, I’m the Director of Membership and Business Development at the Association for Project Management and we’re here today to talk about the APM Association for Project Management and talk to some of our key contacts who we know quite well in the sector as well as new contacts we want to kind of work with going forward. We want to kind of work with new organizations to help skill their workforce, help understand if they have the capabilities to deliver projects and also talk to people about understanding what their challenges are in the profession as well.
Conversations
We’ve spoken to quite a lot of people coming through and having some really, really good quality conversations. So we offer quite a few things both for individuals and at the corporate level as well. So we offer qualifications. A lot of people will know about our qualifications because they might have undertaken our Project Fundamentals course, our Project Management qualification. We also offer the ability for people to become Chartered Project Professionals so that’s kind of a competency that they have to demonstrate competency to get to charters essentially. And so the people who are Chartered Project Professionals have each kind of the top of their career and we know that they’re really credible individuals who can deliver projects.
Partners
We’ve had some really good conversations at today’s event. We’ve been involved in speaking and with our colleagues and our corporate partner Jacobs. We’ve had some really good conversations after that about our corporate partners.
So we’ve had some really, really good quality conversations today.
Join APM
So if people are interested in joining APM or becoming corporate partners do get in touch. We’re quite happy to just have a general conversation, just to see what the opportunities might be. We are a charity, we’re a not for-profit body, so we’re here to further the professions and we’re here for society at large.
