What's your name?
My name is Sean Whitehead
What do you do?
I am a Life Coach and founder of That Change Coaching Ltd. I specialise in supporting people to realise their potential and achieve their career and wellbeing goals. I help them navigate the highs and lows of motivation and apathy by guiding them towards incremental, achievable success through repeatable habits and routines. I ensure my clients work towards the right goals and address the correct problems, not just symptoms.
I also work for the Stroke Association as a Service Delivery Coach. This allows me to do 2 of my passions, supporting people and coaching. Feeling like I am contributing to something greater than myself and using the skills and tools that I have to have an impact are really important to me.
What kind of products/services do you provide?
Currently I provide one to one life coaching in 1 hour sessions which is perfect for those that know exactly where their destination is but keep getting lost on the way.
I also offer an 8 week programme called “Your life, refreshed”. YLR is designed for those that don’t really know where their destination is but feel lost and unhappy with where they are. We delve deep into core values and assess what is really important to you, and create goals and personalised plans around them.
Future plans:
I will be offering a subscription based personal training service by the end of the year which can be a bolt on to Life Coaching or purchased separately.
in 2024 I will launch my corporate package aimed at supporting business foster cultures of wellbeing, coaching and optimisation.
Please share details of your journey? When did you start?

I started in the education sector teaching Music and quickly rose to the role of Assistant Principal. I had the privilege of working for a great Multi-Academy Trust called ARK, which was highly values-driven and believed in personal development. I became one of the first leaders trained to support staff through a coaching model for schools written by Paul Bambrick (Instructional Leadership / Teach like a Champion). I attended training led by Paul himself. I quickly recognised the power of coaching—its non-judgmental and empowering nature. I knew coaching was something I enjoyed, that benefited others, and that I excelled at. During lockdown, I completed a Life Coaching Diploma and began coaching friends and close contacts. I decided to leave the world of education behind, pursue coaching more explicitly, and launch That Change Coaching.
What kind of people, clients do you work with?
I’ll set the scene: You have just emerged from a period during which you fell into bad habits and finally arrive at the day when you decide to turn things around. It usually sounds something like this… “Alright, starting from Monday, I’m going to the gym, prepping all my food, writing my to-do list in the morning, clearing my inbox, and reaching out to that client, etc.”
Monday
Monday arrives, and you conquer it – feeling great. What an excellent way to start the week! Your motivation is sky-high, and you carry that energy into Tuesday, Wednesday… Yet, over time, some moments pass, and you find yourself right back in the same position you were in before that incredible Monday.
You feel like Jekyll and Hyde, except with added shame and negative self-talk. This cycle repeats, always accompanied by the promise to yourself that it won’t happen again… and every time it does, the hole you’re in becomes deeper and harder to climb out of.
What’s worse is that deep down, you know you’re meant for more than this. However, as this pattern persists, that feeling keeps getting pushed further and further down. You might even start wondering if you truly are meant for more.
I am here to tell you that you are meant for more, and this pattern is incredibly common. It’s your response to emotions and natural chemical changes in your body. If you’re ready to dig deep, I’m prepared to delve down with you and bring your potential to the surface.
If you’re truly ready to invest in yourself and embrace your true potential, then book a complimentary consultation with me. Together, let’s explore how we can plan your journey to success in a sustainable way that disrupts this rollercoaster of motivation and guides you onto a path you can stride along, step by step.
What makes Manchester special?
Well… it’s not the weather. The people, after living in London for 12 years I can tell you that the stereotypes can be true. If you’re at a bust stop with one other person, you’re most likely going to get into a conversation… I have been on a tube crammed full of people in London all silent avoiding eye contact. I also love the real communities that you have in your local area, shout out to everyone at Gorilla Warfare functional fitness in Salford! As someone who loves the outdoors, it is really close to areas of natural beauty such as the Ribble Valley, Peak District and the Lakes.
