On Wednesday, 26th July, Business Growth Hub hosted an event called “Meet the Founders, King’s Awards for Enterprise.” The event gave small business owners and entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet, chat and pick the brains of entrepreneurs who have won the King’s Awards, a prestigious prize given to hard-working small businesses and teams who are creating positive change on a local, national and international level.
The master of ceremonies
Dr Vikas Shah, MBE, DL was the master of ceremonies who introduced the panel which consisted of 4 Manchester-based owners and directors, winners of both the Queen’s Award and the King’s Award. Dr. Shah is a serial entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist, and CEO of Swiscot Group. Dr. Shah is also a Non-Executive Board Member of the UK Department, for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy and a Non-Executive Director of the Solicitors Regulation Authority. In 2021 Dr. Shah became Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester Lieutenancy. Dr Vikas is an outstanding speaker, an excellent role model and a great source of inspiration for both business leaders and entrepreneurs.
