Victoria Richards, Director at Jacobs.

Hi am Victoria Richards.

Hi am Victoria Richards. I am win for Jacobs so my role is hedge profession for project management. So I oversee the project management capability. We have about 1 thousand project managers and project engineers and I look after the training, the development and making sure that we have the right procedures in place. I was delighted to be invited by the APM to come and speak around the benefits and value that we get from our corporate membership.

At one of my customers was a care home and so I had jumped ship from trying to sell him advertising to selling for him kind of came to find that I really just enjoyed being in the healthcare sector helping people and then that journey continued. As I moved into the UK I continued on in the care home sector so I moved to Manchester and then I joined abuse on the training side depending on the background are coming from say it in home care company or a care company or hospital nurse. So we have corporate membership with the APM so one of many organizations that gained a lot of value from it. We work very closely with them making sure that we align with the APM training. We have lots of opportunities within the organization to learn more about that. So we have established an APM community of practice. We also have recently established some project management apprenticeships that have already gained a lot of value from within the business. I’ve really enjoyed the event today.

today. It’s been great to meet the exhibitors really good to connect with lots of people here today. We were talking about the benefits and values that Jacobs get from our APM corporate membership. It is a bit of an no-brainerd for us really to have that membership. We really think it gives us the credentials to demonstrate that we are progressing and following the right track when it comes to project delivery. Enjoy the event today. It’s been a real best here today. Lots made lots of really great contact.
